Almeria

Almeria, this is where I've been. Walking over impossible mountains and solitary beaches. The sun is so strong that one has to walk under a hat, sunglasses and long clothes. It is called the Almerian dessert and it is pretty hard to find a shadow, no trees, just some cactus. Quite a contrast with Sweden actually.
There is a path that wonders from the beach to mountains with cliffs and sometimes inaccesible little beaches, no road, at least before we find a town. After 3 hours walking there is probably one, a fishing town with white houses and cold beer, probably the best in the world (at least for us). Like a hallucination. Yes, here is where Laurence of Arabia was filmed, many westerns, and even some of the Indiana Jones movies. But everytime we see a beach we swim and the water is cold and transparent and it feels like paradise.
We found a town abandoned by their inhabitants and not connected by road which is now colonized by hippies, a foreigner has opened a bar in one of the abandoned houses and gets the drinks by boat, interesting...
Finally, in Almeria, everytime that you ask for a beer you get a free "tapa" that you can choose from delicious seefood to ham or cheese or... well just an idea for the Sweds who want to open a restaurant.

Missing you, just like the fish misses the sea thinking that it´s everything.
